Nicholl Fellowships and Student Academy Awards Intern - Summer 2020 (Academy Gold) 



This part-time internship will provide exposure to all aspects of the Academy’s two international, non-Oscar competitions – the Student Academy Awards and the Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting. The Intern will primarily assist with projects that will serve both departments. You will develop skills in administration of global competitions, nonprofit outreach strategies, and feature screenplay analysis.


  • Research, update, and organize large amounts of data for intra-department projects.
  • Meticulous proofing of records for proper formatting, grammar and accuracy.
  • Provide miscellaneous and overflow administrative support to both department heads.
  • Track and communicate progress on assigned projects.
Position Requirements
  • Current student studying film production, screenwriting, or related.
  • Previous office experience with proficiency in MS Office.
  • Expert writing and verbal communication skills with special attention to accuracy.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities.
  • A friendly and professional demeanor with a can-do attitude.
  • Must be a self-starter who takes ownership of tasks and follow-through.

This internship is part of the Academy Gold Program, an 8-week internship enhancement program that incorporates learning opportunities including an intensive two-day orientation, weekly panels, exclusive networking events, workshops, screenings, and mentorship opportunities with Academy members.
