Scales Lead

Description

We are seeking an organized, reliable, detail and service-oriented Scales Lead to join our growing team. In this position, you will monitor department inventory as well as manage scales staff to ensure that products are reviewed, documented, weighed, verified and shipped in an accurate, efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee all scales procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation for all inbound and outbound scale transactions.
  • Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with the company's plans and vision.
  • Organize workflow and ensuring that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
  • Monitoring employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Perform various inventory counts and order supplies and goods as needed.
  • Maintain Scales equipment, ensuring equipment is serviced when needed and clean on a daily basis.
  • Motivate and lead scales department staff to effectively carry out given tasks.
  • Conduct required company audits and ensure continuity and compliance at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience in operational planning and resource allocation preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience working with computerized scale systems and other similar software and equipment.
  • Must successfully complete all training requirements and maintain certifications throughout employment.
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents.
  • Must be able to write reports and correspondence.
  • High attention to details.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Google Sheets & Docs is a must.
