Director of Acute Care Operations 


What are we looking for in a Director?

The Director of Acute Care Operations is responsible for all fiscal, administrative, clinical, and operational aspects of our services of the Yakima Acute Care Team, the Crisis Triage Center (Detox), the PACT Team, Jail Services Team and Diversion Services. The Director will support clinical teams and individual staff members by educating, coaching and mentoring. The Director completes required reports, funding applications, and attends to operational tasks associated with related contracts and grants. The Director will oversee staff and provide clinical supervision, develop and monitor the site budget, and ensure that services provided are effective and accessible. When necessary, the Director might also participate in treatment services. To be successful in this role, the Director should be highly motivated with a strong clinical background, have exceptional interpersonal skills, and have a talent for leading and motivating others.

Director duties include:

  • managing staff levels, work assignments, and site processes to ensure efficient treatment delivery
  • providing clinical supervision to staff, which includes the assessment of clinical skills, giving constructive feedback, and offering training
  • ensuring the delivery of appropriate, clinically-effective, and culturally-competent services across all programs and teams
  • monitoring the clinical effectiveness of site programs and participating in quality improvement & utilization management projects
  • representing Comprehensive Healthcare in the community
  • participating in strategic planning for assigned programs and the agency
  • maintaining the budget to ensure fair & effective resource management
Position Requirements

Education & Experience: Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field. Six years of relevant clinical experience including the ability to treat all age groups, plus experience working with leadership boards, making presentations, and clinical programming. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Professional Credentials: Eligiblity for Agency Affiliated Counselor registration required.
