Position Survey Field Technician  
Description

Under the direction of a Survey Crew Chief and or a licensed Surveyor, you will be on a team that provides both field and office survey support by providing coordination and assistance with the preparation of a variety of survey services. You will be able to further develop a practical understanding and application of learned principles via performing basic surveys, e.g. Boundary Surveys, Design Location Surveys, Construction Staking, AS-Build surveys, Hydrographic Surveys and GPS Surveys

This position will require moderate lifting, stake pounding and some hand excavation.

 
Position Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Operation of field equipment
  • Working knowledge of survey instruments
  • Knowledge of Trimble data collectors, Total Stations and GPS receivers is helpful
  • Software comprehension of AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, GeoPak and general computer skills preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of education or experience with basic knowledge of survey principles or current enrollment in a land surveying related school program.
