Description

The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) has position opening(s) for a Visitor Experience Associate. The Visitor Experience Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service and promoting a fun learning experience for visitors throughout the museum. As a Visitor Experience Associate you will actively engage with visitors of all age groups, greeting them in a positive and cheerful manner, answering questions about PAFA’s programs, exhibitions, and events.

Reporting to the Visitor Experience Manager, this position will have an hourly compensation of $9.65 per hour. There are two full-time openings. Both are 38 hours with the following schedule: Wednesday – Friday, 9:15 – 5:15 pm and Saturday – Sunday, 10:15 – 5:15 pm

 
Position Requirements

Desired candidates will have prior customer service experience in a similar setting. A passion for the fine arts and love for working with people a must. Excellent communication skills required. Experience working with diverse audiences and ability to interact positively with large groups highly preferred. Ability to react positively to a rapidly changing environment and make good decisions under pressure Candidates must be available to work a complete schedule as listed. Experience with retail POS systems and hand-held electronic devices preferred.
