Business Data Analyst - Sales Incentive Compensation

The Business Data Analyst will serve as an internal expert for analyses of commercial operations functions within the Company, with a primary focus on field sales incentive compensation (IC) programs. The Analyst will work with key internal stakeholders to support the development and management of fair and motivating IC plans. The Analyst will also contribute to Analytics Department projects related to territory design, targeting, alignment, and IC.

Essential Functions/Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support to commercial operations functions, including annual incentive compensation (IC) design, contest design, and sales performance measurement.
  • Provide support for Department and team decisions and projects with use of modeling and extensive testing, including back-testing and Monte Carlo simulation.
  • Complete routine administration of IC plans, including quarterly processing of data and reports, processing of contest data, and delivering annual performance metrics.
  • Independently query the kaléo data warehouse using programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or others.
  • Create both ad-hoc and production metrics and dashboards as needed to support visibility into sales operations.
  • Establish processes and check results for quality to ensure all deliverables are timely and accurate.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments and teams on projects related to IC or other commercial operations functions.

Position Requirements

Educational, Certification or Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, science, business, statistics, math, or related discipline.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with SQL or similar programming language with the ability to independently run ad-hoc queries.
  • Experience with Tableau or similar business intelligence tool.

Other Preferred Experience or Qualifications

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industries.
  • Experience analyzing commercial operations or field sales performance data.
  • Working knowledge of customer relationship management software.
  • Proficiency with Tableau.
