Team Leader

Description

What are we looking for in a Team Leader?

This position serves two main functions: therapy & crisis response, and team leadership. During the workday, the Team Leader meets with scheduled clients to provide evidence-based therapy for youth and adults. In addition to therapy duties, they also participate in rotating on-call shifts during the workday, evenings, and weekends to provide crisis outreach services. This involves taking calls requesting crisis services and traveling out in the community to complete crisis evaluations, determine what level of treatment is needed to stabilize the situation, and make arrangements for hospital placements or outpatient treatment as appropriate. The goal is to stabilize the crisis using the least restrictive setting possible, while still ensuring the safety of the individual in crisis as well as the community. The Team Leader position is best suited to someone who likes variety in their daily activities and wants to work as a therapist, but also enjoys assisting individuals in crisis. In addition to providing direct treatment, the Team Leader is responsible for overseeing all program staff and providing clinical supervision. The Team Leader also monitors team productivity and daily census, timely & thorough completion of clinical documentation, clients’ treatment progress, and access to care within the program. Excellent communication skills, the ability to establish rapport quickly, and a collaborative attitude are essential in this role. Previous supervisory experience may also be helpful. This position is based in our Goldendale outpatient office with crisis services provided for all of Klickitat County, so regular travel should be expected.
