Payroll Coordinator

Description

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all company payroll activity. Function effectively as part of an accounting team by demonstrating the ability and willingness to achieve department goals while remaining in compliance with all policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Process payroll and transmit direct deposit.
  • Process and maintain all garnishments.
  • Accurately maintain all employee paper and electronic files.
  • File all related documents weekly.
  • Generate management reports as required.
  • Manage W2 process.
  • Handle employee verification process.
  • Manage 401K transmittals, enrollments, and notifications.
  • Serve as one of the administrative resources for health and dental insurance benefits. Process invoices for payment of these benefits to AP. Manage enrollment, terminations, COBRA, etc.
  • Participate in audit activities including but not limited to: unemployment audits; quarterly PR to GL audits, quarterly PR taxes to GL audits.
  • Ensure that procedures are compliant and updated at all times.
  • Maintain and protect the confidentiality of all data/information related to specific job assignments and Basecamp Hospitality in general.
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • High school education.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accounting or business environment, at least all 5 of which were in a payroll capacity.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Excel.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean 3-year history and no DUI convictions in the past 10 years.

Preferred:

  • Experience in accounting system payroll software
  • Experience in additional accounting disciplines.
