Information Technology Supervisor

The IT Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the daily support needs of the Basecamp Hospitality companies IT Systems. This is a very a very hands on-role managing IT support and providing on-site system implementation and repair when necessary. The IT Supervisor directly manages IT resources for successful implementation of service center IT policies, goals, and objectives. Provides support to staff; and performs related tasks within area of assignment in order to accomplish corporate goals and objectives. The IT Supervisor works with the IT Director to determine and implement specific technical needs and priorities for Basecamp Hospitality. This person is also responsible for maintaining a dynamic knowledge base of technical solutions to ensure that the organization's IT infrastructure is as efficient and productive as possible.

• Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
• Works with the IT Support team to resolve issues by providing technical support directly and through guidance to expedite repairs on challenging breakdowns or tasks.
• Modifies programming of domains, DNS, email settings and features and other electrical /electronic control and network systems as needed.
• Setting up new PC's, monitoring and ensuring the network is secure, working with outside vendors related to IT.
• Setting up and implementing various software as needed.
• Must be familiar and knowledgeable with P2P networks, wireless, and cloud-based networking. Microsoft Azure and Office 365, Microsoft applications, network security, and VoIP Systems required.
• Implement and manage computing and information technology strategic plans, policies, programs, and schedules for business and finance data processing, computer services, network communications, management information services, point of sale, property management, internet connectivity, telephony and other technology systems to accomplish corporate goals and objectives as instructed by the IT Director.
• Provide "hands-on" and onsite IT and system support.
• Implement operating policies for computing and information technology at each Basecamp location and make improvement recommendations to Director of IT as needed.
• Ensure the security of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment.
• Assist in the sales, management, development, maintenance and support of proprietary software application.
• Oversee ongoing improvements and the feasibility of system enhancements.
• Maintain and protect the confidentiality of all data/information related to specific job assignments and Basecamp Hospitality in general.
• Supervise and evaluate department support staff.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the production lines.
• Confers with supervisors to coordinate activities at Basecamp locations.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs in conjunction with IT Director.
• Ensures stable operations by implementing regular software, security and operating system updates.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management
• Regular and punctual attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements


1. Knowledge of information technology computer systems and software and the ability to manage the entire spectrum of information technology operations. Experience with implementation of information technology integrations in a small/medium sized company.
2. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. With the ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
3. Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline is desired.
4. Five to ten years of progressive responsibility in information technology field required.
5. Hospitality, Recreation, or Leisure industry IT experience preferred
6. Working conditions are normal for a seasonal hospitality business and require frequent site visits and occasional weekend and evening work.
7. Must possess a valid Driver's License with a clean 3-year history and no DUI convictions in the past 10 years.
8. Up to 30% travel required.

The IT Supervisor will use various office tools and equipment on a daily basis. The incumbent will be knowledgeable in the safety practices and standards set by the company, relative to the work environment he/she operates in. He/she will also make it a duty to ensure that all co-workers are working with those same safety practices and standards.
