Description

As a Payroll Specialist, you will process multi-state payroll, provide payroll support to employees and assist in miscellaneous HR projects.

Cultural Norms:

What are the general responsibilities of the position?

  • Process biweekly multi-state payroll while providing Payroll/HRIS expertise and support, as it relates to processing payroll and updating employee records in our HRIS.
  • Assist with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department by handling information requests, providing ad hoc payroll reporting.
  • Process HR and payroll transactional events initiated by the business unit, employee self-service, or external sources (hires, terminations, taxes, deductions, retro pay, supplemental pay, manual checks, etc.)
  • Monitor and maintain controls related to check accuracy and data integrity.
  • Respond to garnishment inquiries, resolve tax filing issues.
  • Additional special projects: update HCM work comp coding, assist with FLSA audit, update state unemployment access.
