We are seeking an The Senior Systems Administrator for a telework/remote/virtual position. The preferred candidate location would be Battle Creek, MI or Columbus, OH.

Description:

The Senior Systems Administrator ensures the stable operation of the in-house computer software systems and network connections.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

  • Planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links.
  • Analyzes and resolves end user software program and connectivity issues. Provides end user training.
  • Provides recommendations on technology direction to align with business vision.
  • Provides both local and remote maintenance support to various operational systems deployed at more than one location.
  • Supports general maintenance, upgrades, and new installs of servers and applications.
  • Applies advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing applications, and ensuring fault tolerance.
  • Performs vulnerability management.
  • Assist with proposal development, if necessary.

 

 
Position Requirements

Experience:

  • Seven (7) years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, six (6) of which are specialized in numerous specialized Information Processing disciplines involving a range of hardware/software solutions, four of which are concentrated, hand-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software.
  • DLA experience a plus.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • IA Level: IAT II Computing Environment: MCSA 2003, MCSE 2003, M2003 NET 4, M2008 NET 7, MCITP SA, MCITP EA, CSA:WS2012, MCSE:WS2012, MCSA:WS2008, MCSM:DS, M2012 NET, MCM: Windows Server 2008: Directory, MCA: MS Windows Server Directory, CCAA, GCWN M, CompTIA Linux+ and GIAC Certified Unix Security Administrator (GCUX).

Other Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Security Clearance:

  • Must possess a minimum of an active Top Secret security clearance to meet IT-I level trust requirements OR possess an active Secret security clearance and be willing to complete a SSBI.

US Citizenship: This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.
