The QMS Specialist is a strategic role which supports Delphi Technologies (DT) global Quality Management System (QMS). The role entails the active value stream evaluation and tactical improvement of all DT QMS processes. The scope would include: Review and consolation of existing QMS processes and procedures to a corporate scheme, Provide consolidation support to one or two strategic registrars for all of DTs ISO/IATF certifications, Support definition and alignment of key quality science skills required across DT, Support the development of effective tracking of depth and breadth of the quality science skills across the DT PBUs, Support training and development of the quality sciences where necessary – including the growth of basic quality science gage systems management at DT testing and maintenance facilities, Support effective Warranty data review for predictive warranty analysis, And, to support the overall QMS as needed.

This position will design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for both production and transactional processes related to QMS systems which will include human work factors, quality, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.. This exciting opportunity will be located in Auburn Hills, MI.

Responsibilities

    Candidates for positions with Delphi Technologies must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

    Position Requirements

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in either Engineering or Business
    • 10+ years of manufacturing experience
    • 10+ years of global experience in cross-functional team management
    • 10+ years of experience with QMS Science skills in: AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA, FMEA (P/D) and SPC), IATF/ISO, DFSS/DFM/DFA, GD&T, and the relevant quality sciences
    • 10+ years of experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
    • IATF/ISO Auditor
    • MBB certification
    • CMQ/OE and/or CQE certification
    • Excellent skills in Excel, good to Excellent skills in Powerpoint and Word
    • Ability to use Minitab or other relevant statistical software.
    • Experience and/or ability to learn and apply Shainin problem solving methodologies
    • Ability to organize, coordinate and track multiple projects
