Share Email Opening Title Airfield Lighting, Lightning, and Grounding Systems/Electrical Engineering SME Technical Support  Category Other   Description The Airfield Lighting, Lightning, and Grounding Systems/Electrical Engineering SME Technical Support Provide engineering support for Air Force electrical and electrical controls requirements/projects. This includes providing professional reviews, assessments, and offering expert recommendations and proposed responses to the SME. Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To: Provide technical assistance and recommendations during the development, update and/or revisions of technical criteria documents. Provide Electrical Support. This electrical support shall involve a wide variety of electrical assets/activities, to include Air Force airfield lighting systems, lightning protection systems, and grounding systems, planning, programming, design, evaluation, management and construction issue recommendations. Assist with fielding questions that come from the bases/installations. This may involve research analysis, calculations, and reports related to airfield lighting, lightning protection, and grounding systems. Assist with development, review of training plans and courses. Perform site visits to assist the bases with technical issues. Assist in documenting program files, organizing files and providing administrative support, such as updating and maintaining technical support resources such as CE DASH requests. Provide engineer support for 25-40 AF electrical and electrical controls requirements annually. Provide technical assistance and recommendations during the development, update and/or revisions of 30-45 technical documents. Perform 5-10 site visits annually to assist the bases with airfield, grounding and lightning protection electrical issues. Assisting in documenting program files, organizing files and providing administrative support, such as updating and maintaining technical support resources such as 45-60 CE DASH requests annually.
