Description

The Columbia Group, Inc. is a fifty-year old small business providing engineering, financial management, IT application development, and platform acquisition to Navy clients. TCG is growing fast as a prime contractor in NAVAIR and other Navy Systems Commands. We seek an enterprising candidate to fill a high-visibility role of NAVAIR Acquisition Program Manager supporting the CH-53 Program Office, PMA 261.

PMA-261 H-53 Heavy Lift Helicopters is a program office under the Program Executive Officer Air, Assault, ASW & Special Mission Aircraft (PEO(A)). PMA-261 is responsible for multiple H-53 variants including the CH-53E, MH-53E and the CH-53K helicopters.

Functional Description of the Position:

  • Acts as the overall lead, manager and administrator for the contracted effort.
  • Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities on technical and program/project issues.
  • Oversees contractor execution of the contract requirements.
  • Manages acquisition and employment of program/project resources.
  • Applies analytic techniques in the evaluation of program/project objectives.
  • Analyzes requirements, status, budget and schedules. Performs management, technical, or business case analyses.
  • Collects, completes, organizes and interprets data relating to aircraft/weapon/project acquisition and product programs.
  • Tracks program/project status and schedules.
  • Applies government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management and data management.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • MA/MS degree from an accredited institution
  • Over 10 years of combined experience performing duties described in the functional description with at least 5 of those years overseeing contractor execution of the contract requirements and managing acquisition, staffing and employment of program/project resources.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.

 

Desired Education, Skills and Experience:

  • 3 years of experience managing and overseeing day-to-day program execution of contract support services for NAVAIR.
