POSITION SUMMARY: BASIC FUNCTION

The Sr. Integration Engineer provides pre- and post-sales technical support to the Global Sales team. The Sr. Integration Engineer works closely with large wholesale and hyper-scale customers worldwide on the development, integration and deployment of all their infrastructure related and end-to-end requirements across the RagingWire portfolio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrates expert understanding of data center design concepts and differentiators (high dense cooling, maintainable fault tolerant power, security redundancy, etc.)

Participates in customer meetings and regularly assists in telling the RagingWire story. Travels as needed for these meetings.

Participates in all aspects of client facing interactions including, but not limited to, pre-sales tour and infrastructure deployment consultation, design, documentation and post-deployment operation.

Gathers and fully understands all client requirements and specifications.

Works with client, vendors and contractors to provide turn-key solutions at the wholesale level.

Assists with client design standards where needed.

Reviews and incorporates client provided RFP documents.

Interfaces with customers, vendors and requisite internal RagingWire departments regularly and on-going.

Develops and documents comprehensive scope of work (SOW) documents, bill of material (BOM), milestones, tasks, risks, assumptions, objectives and dependencies relating to projects.

Works with internal and external technical staff to ensure test plans have been completed and deployments undergo the proper Q/A process.

Writes and reviews MOP (Method of Procedure) documents required for safe and predictable project outcomes.

Works with Deployment Project Management team to coordinate, place, and track equipment orders and shipments to meet project deadlines.

Works with Deployment Project Management team to provide ongoing project management and design services for infrastructure projects throughout the life of the customer contract.

Works with Deployment Project Management team to ensure contracted services are delivered on time, within budget and according to specifications.

Uses Microsoft Project or equivalent tool to document, schedule, track and report on the various projects.

Uses CAD or equivalent tool and Visio to produce customer facing and internal drawings.

Recommends appropriate process and procedure revisions as needed to focus on continuous improvement.

Uses Salesforce to track revenue milestones.

Documents, publishes and tracks action items, owners, and due dates.

Escalates team and client issues to management as appropriate.

Trains, coaches, and mentors lower-level Deployment Engineers and Project Managers.

Assists Deployment Project Managers and Project teams to prepare status reports to keep management, clients, and project team informed of project status and related issues.

Coordinates and responds to requests for changes from original specifications.

Tracks and reports on quality assurance metrics.

Adheres to pre-defined departmental objectives and metrics to provide high level of customer service.

Supports strategic departmental objectives.

Performs other tasks as assigned.

Regular, predictable attendance is essential for satisfactory performance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Strong experience working with large, global and hyper-scale customer base

Working knowledge of Windows and Salesforce

Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), MS Visio and CAD

Deep knowledge of IT and data center infrastructure

Knowledge of data center infrastructure design standards

Experience in writing and reviewing MOP (Method of Procedure) documents

Knowledge of SSAE 16 and other industry certifications a plus

Possess excellent problem solving, critical thinking and interpersonal skills

Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Possess excellent customer service skills

Highly motivated self-starter

Ability to multi-task and remain calm in dynamic environment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED required.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or work experience required.

Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in industry or relevant experience in data centers or critical environments.

PMP certification preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.

Extensive walking of data center facilities and areas under construction.

Primarily sitting with periodically standing, walking, bending when creating, implementing, and checking on deployment projects.

Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds.

WORK CONDITIONS

Data Center environment, which may be under construction for client builds, and subject to loud noises.

Typical office environment.

Daily usage of a computer and/or workstation keyboards and terminals.

Telecommuting may be permitted with regular business hours availability if not local to RagingWire site. Must be available to meet in person with client as needed and attend company/department meetings as required.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Regular travel to company locations throughout the US and customer or vendor sites approximately 50% of the time. Additional travel may be required based on project load.

Must be able to respond to emergency situations at the data center.

Responsible to carry a cell phone and provide 24 x 7 support as needed.

Must be willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, holidays.
