The Columbia Group, Inc. is a fifty-year old small business providing engineering, financial management, IT application development, and platform acquisition to Navy clients. TCG is growing fast as a prime contractor in NAVAIR and other Navy Systems Commands. We seek an enterprising candidate to fill a high-visibility role of NAVAIR Senior Flight Clearance Program Analyst supporting the CH-53 Program Office, PMA 261.

PMA-261 H-53 Heavy Lift Helicopters is a program office under the Program Executive Officer Air, Assault, ASW & Special Mission Aircraft (PEO(A)). PMA-261 is responsible for multiple H-53 variants including the CH-53E, MH-53E and the CH-53K helicopters.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Apply analytic techniques in the evaluation of program/project objectives. Analyzes requirements, status, budget and schedules. Performs management, technical, or business case analyses.
  • Collect, complete, organize and interpret data relating to aircraft/weapon/project acquisition and product programs.
  • Track program/project status and schedules.
  • Apply government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management and data management.
  • Process Interim Flight Clearances, NATOPS, and NATIP changes.
  • Utilize the process as required by Director, US Navy and Marine Corp NAVAIRSYSCOM Airworthiness and Cyber Safety Office for the routing of flight clearances.
  • Manage the routing of Engineering Change Proposals and Technical Directive.
  • Maintain a technical library of flight clearances, engineering reports and other technical information.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • MA/MS degree and completed required training as identified in the Flight Clearance Facilitator’s Guide (17 Sept 2012 and as amended)
  • Possess a current empowerment letter issued by NAVAIRSYSCOM Airworthiness and Cyber Safety Office.
  • Over 10 years of combined experience performing duties described in the functional description, with at least 5 of those years utilizing the process as required by Director, US Navy and Marine Corp Airworthiness and Cyber Safety Office for the routing of flight clearances.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.

 

Desired Experience:

  • At least 3 years of rotary-wing flight clearance experience supporting NAVAIR programs.
