NAVAIR Senior Acquisition Specialist / Management Analyst

The Columbia Group, Inc. is a fifty-year old small business providing engineering, financial management, IT application development, and platform acquisition to Navy clients. TCG is growing fast as a prime contractor in NAVAIR and other Navy Systems Commands. We seek an enterprising candidate to fill a high-visibility role of NAVAIR Senior Acquisition Specialist / Management Analyst supporting the CH-53 Program Office, PMA 261.

PMA-261 H-53 Heavy Lift Helicopters is a program office under the Program Executive Officer Air, Assault, ASW & Special Mission Aircraft (PEO(A)). PMA-261 is responsible for multiple H-53 variants including the CH-53E, MH-53E and the CH-53K helicopters.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Support and draft program milestone related documentation to ensure compliance with all aspects of the DoD and SECNAV 5000 series directives.
  • Support the development of program acquisition documentation such as Capabilities Production Documents (CPD), fleet transition planning, Acquisition Plans (AP), Acquisition Strategy Reports (ASR), Procurement Initiation Document (PID), Statement of Work (SOW), funding documents, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and Acquisition Program Baseline Agreements (APBA).
  • Assess program procedures, practices, philosophies, and documentation for compliance with specifications, contracts, and mission requirements.
  • Attend, participate, support, analyze, provide input, develop, prepare and report on briefs, point papers, reports, correspondence, meetings, conferences, and review boards.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • MA/MS Degree
  • Over 10 years of combined experience performing duties described in the functional description, with at least 3 of those years demonstrating experience supporting the development/staffing of Capabilities Production Documents (CPD), fleet transition planning, Acquisition Strategy Reports (ASR) and Acquisition Program Baseline Agreements (APBA).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.

 

Desired Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience supporting NAVAIR acquisition programs and fleet experience.
