About the Organization Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc.(TTC) is a full-service behavioral healthcare organization that provides high quality, cost-effective substance use and mental health treatment to adults and youth. TTC operates a psychiatric hospital engaged in detox and stabilization (this is not a locked facility), residential and outpatient alcohol and drug treatment centers, adolescent drug treatment centers, and family medical clinics. All patients served are voluntary. All facilities are licensed and certified by the State of California and the County of Los Angeles. We are accredited by The Joint Commission. F/T Chemical Dependency Counselor. Will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor in the Residential TX Program. Duties include, assessments, facilitation of groups, treatment planning, case management, crisis intervention and progress note documentation. Position requires individual have completion of an academic studies program and certification with one of the 3 AOD state-approved certification entities OR enrollment in a Masters Degree program in Psychology and registration with an AOD body, OR a Masters Degree in Psychology. A minimum of three years clinical experience in a behavioral healthcare setting working with Substance Use/co-occurring disorders preferred . Knowledge of the ASAM criteria preferred.
