IPS Team Lead

Position Hours 40 hrs per week - flexible

The IPS Team Leader’s primary duties are to provide leadership in direct service for the IPS team, to ensure that jobs are secured for individuals with disabilities who are served and supported by the IPS team and to ensure that services are provided according to the service definition and IPS Fidelity Model. In this position, the IPS Team Leader serves as an integral part of the management team in the daily operation of the supported employment program. The IPS Team Leader is supervised by the Employment Program Supervisor or IPS Program Supervisor.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provides leadership in the implementation of direct services and supports for the IPS team.
  • Holds weekly staff meetings to ensure adherence with the fidelity.
  • Provides monthly individual supervision with each IPS staff to assure the delivery of evidence-based and ethical practices.
  • Provides clinical supervision and oversight to all IPS employment staff for each individual receiving the IPS employment services.
  • Coordinates with the IPS employment team integration with behavioral health teams to discuss clinical and employment services provided to individuals supported by the team.
  • Provides training for all members of the IPS team prior to services being delivered and/or ensures that all required trainings are in compliance with the service definition, rules and regulation and Easter Seals UCP policy.
  • Accompanies individuals being supported to their community based employment site to provide on the job training as needed.
  • Analyzes job duties and tasks and completes a thorough job task analysis as needed.
  • Assists individuals in mastering skills and meeting production standards. Employment Support Professionals may be required to assist in performing individual’s job duties to maintain necessary production as well as model work behavior.
  • Facilitates collaboration with Vocational Rehabilitation services as needed to ensure seamless service provision.
  • Conducts the job development activities.
  • Maintains case records as required by licensing and funding entities standards and regulations.
  • Coordinates communication with parents, care coordination, Vocational Rehabilitation, Behavioral Health Services and other agencies serving the individuals being supported.
  • Maintains good work habits regarding attendance, punctuality, appearance and effective working relationships with co-workers, VR and MCO staff, employers, other providers and individuals being supported.
  • Provides supplemental evaluation, job development and intensive training activities with individuals being supported according to their service authorization, service plan and work schedule.
  • Keeps the Program Supervisor informed on all issues of importance.
  • Becomes a Certified Employment Support Professional within 6 months of employment in this position.
  • Maintains regular attendance and punctuality, manages use of PTO time, and follows all policies and procedures regarding time off.
  • Follows all ESUCP Policies and Procedures.
  • Must demonstrate Easter Seals valued behaviors of Accountability, Commitment and Caring as appropriate to position.
  • Completes required training within prescribed timeframes.
  • Performs related duties as requested by the Program Supervisor.
  • · Supervises IPS Team providing oversight of the programs’ staff, including but not limited to: recruitment, screening, hiring, training and supervision.
Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a college or university accredited by an entity approved by USDOE or CHEA which meets the criteria for MHQP status.
  • Knowledge of labor market and community service agencies.
  • Possess skills in developing and writing task analysis, systemic job training and supported employment.
  • Possesses current, unrestricted, state appropriate driver’s license.
  • Possesses current, unrestricted vehicle insurance.
  • Must have reliable transportation that will allow movement throughout the program delivery area.
