PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Works performing manual labor for planting, weeding, trimming, mulching, fertilizing, watering. Maintains cooking grills, removes trash, and performs general clean up and maintenance of grounds, park areas or any Town owned property. Operates power equipment such as string trimmer, hedge shears, lawn mower, sprayer, leaf blower, power broom, tractor with or without attachments, water pumps, pool vacuums. Applies fertilizers, and lime and other soil, plant or tree amendments, performs minor tree pruning. Maintains, designs, and installs flowerbeds, displays gardens, lawn areas and planting sites. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to maintain written and or computerized records of work performed and a daily work log, aids civic groups in beautifying South Windsor. SUPERVISED BY The Superintendent of Parks, Parks Manager or designee.   Position Requirements QUALIFICATION PROFILE Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished either orally or written in English, ability to make mathematical computations, be able to lift 75 pounds. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE Valid Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.   Salary Information 20 to 24 hours per week at $18.00 per hour   Full-Time/Part-Time Part-Time   This position is currently not accepting applications.
