About the Organization Today Kaukauna is home to 15,858 people with its own full-time Police, Fire and Rescue services and a municipally owned electric and water utility. Position Electrical Engineering Internship (Summer)  
Description

This position is a summer internship at Kaukauna Utilities. Responsibilities include assisting the Generation & Substation Department with updates to CAD drawings, the engineering model, SCADA system and the geographical information system. This position will also include field work assisting substation and hydro technicians with general maintenance activities including cleaning, inspection and testing.

 
Position Requirements
  • Must be an electrical engineering student in good academic standing, from an accredited college
  • An emplhasis in power and/or control systems is preferred.
  • Experience with the following technologies is preferred, but not necessary:
    • CAD software
    • GIS
    • Engineering Analysis software for power systems
    • System Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software systems
    • Protective relay programming
