POSITION SUMMARY: BASIC FUNCTION
The Supply Chain Program Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and day-to-day execution of the data center capital expenditures construction supply chain program. This position is responsible for supporting construction projects and Critical Facilities Operations business objectives. The Supply Chain PM plans, implements, and manages all Capital facilities and major equipment supply chain logistical activities and procedures including, but not limited to, multi-year projections, production planning, purchasing and procurement, logistics, quality, inventory control, rate setting, vendor selection, and distribution. The Supply Chain PM is responsible for development and implementation of the program to manage Owner Furnished Contractor Installed OFCI major equipment, including Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs to optimize capital utilization for Major Capital projects. The Supply Chain PM will evaluate the Capital equipment supply chain performance against projected costs and timelines and be responsible for coordinating supply chain activities across RagingWire stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own all Supply Chain functions, to include, but not be limited to; demand planning, sourcing, procurement, vendor selection, logistics, forecasting, negotiating, and inventory management.
Forecast issues in advance in order to prevent potential impacts, both internally and externally to drive business decisions.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to Supply Chain and measure actual performance against these KPIs. Manages supplier base; evaluates performance of suppliers on various key performance indicators.
Build an analytics-based approach to support executive briefings and decision making along with managing complex data and dashboard outputs.
Qualify and lead selection of suppliers to deliver equipment and services to the RDC construction portfolio; ensure periodic business reviews are conducted with vendors to evaluate and iteratively improve supply chain performance.
Provide first level of escalation support to Capital project delivery teams to address vendor or overall supply chain performance issues (e.g. change orders, late deliveries, disputes, invoice accuracy, etc) with suppliers; investigates, responds and brings closure to suppliers, buyer’s agent, or other internal RagingWire stakeholders.
Work closely with Critical Facilities Engineering and Operations groups to communicate extending lead times and obsolescence of components within supply chain activities.
Provide structure and lead Internal RDC team(s) to renegotiate, extend options, renew, and discontinue supplier framework agreements as required and issue equipment orders under those framework agreements.
Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and capture industry best practice.
Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Must demonstrate a working knowledge in best practice procurement processes for Mechanical, Electrical and Data Center-specific equipment and support services, industry expertise negotiating purchase order terms, conditions, and pricing, cost reductions, supplier qualification processes, vendor selection and account development, logistics, and sourcing.
Must have personal deep overall expertise in Data Center construction.
Superior communication and analytical skills to prepare and present product demand forecasts and inventory management to best meet company strategic plan and roadmaps. Presentation skills must include familiarity with presenting complex options and alternatives to Senior Management team for decisions and support of overall program goals.
Proven facilitation skills between supplier and Buyer’s Agent.
Proven history of year-over-year (YOY) cost and/or time to market (TTM) reductions through continual improvement or innovation.
Able to work in a team environment. Even-tempered and able to work through conflict with others.
Manages stress and/or fast-pace effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to be highly confidential.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or relevant field; Master Degree preferred.
Minimum of seven years of procurement and supply chain management required, preferably in a product/categpry, and program management level; MUST have no less than five years in mission critical/data center construction support including Capital Equipment procurement, and program leadership. Global or multi-national program and vendor management experience preferred
Experience working with electrical and/or mechanical system suppliers, with additional specific experience with system integrators (modules, skids, etc) required.
LEAN/Six Sigma training preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Familiarity with construction sites and factory hazards and ability to navigate project sites safely and in control.
Primarily walking, standing, and bending with some sitting.
Able to hear and speak into a telephone.
Close visual work on a computer terminal.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.
Able to climb a ladder and work on a raised platform.
Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
WORK CONDITIONS:
60%: Standard office; Data Center environment with varying temperatures and loud noises; extensive daily usage of workstation or computer.
20%: Construction jobsite at various levels of development.
20%: Factory floor, Vendor facilities
Must be comfortable working in a highly critical, fast paced environment with shifting priorities.
Must be available by phone during assigned work schedule and after hours for emergency situations.
Must be willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, holidays and on-call support.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Periodic (est 40%) national travel to RDC jobsites, vendor facilities, and industry events
Must wear close-toed shoes with a solid leather or composite sole or steel toed boots as needed in construction environment.
Must possess a current, valid state-issued driver’s license.
