Description

Position Summary:

The Accounting Specialist - Payroll's primary responsibilities include but not limited to payroll processing and maintenance, payroll reporting, Personal Used Funds(PUF) & Petty Cash reconciliations, and accounting support for the Finance department.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

In a manner, consistent with supporting The Arc NCR Mission Statement the Accounts Specialist -Payroll shall do the following:

Quality Support

  • Efficiently and effectively reconcile PUF & Petty Cash for the agency:
    • Reconcile PUF & Petty Cash for completeness, accuracy and timeliness
    • Review reconciliation sheets for reasonableness and appropriateness related to PUF requests.
  • Prepare bi-weekly Outstanding PUF & Petty Cash reconciliations

Engaged Team Members

  • Participate in the telephone team to support administrative functions at the reception desk
  • Monthly follow-up of outstanding payroll checks of the Agency

Financial Excellence

  • Process, maintain, and submit payroll required reports and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Prepare bi-weekly payroll journal entries
  • Maintain and file all supporting documents in a timely manner
  • Provide routine or as needed accounting supports that contribute to the effective functioning of the Finance Department
  • Provide support to the overall functioning of the Finance department:
    • Act as backup for Accounts Payables
    • Participate in the audit process
