Multimedia Sales Consultant

The West Central Tribune is seeking a motivated self-starter who wants to join our sales team. This position is responsible for developing and increasing print and digital revenue. The ability to help local businesses increase market share through real time solutions and products that deliver superior results.


  • Support the West Central Tribune to increase revenue through project based and regular sales efforts.
  • Support the Advertising Manager in project development and implementation.
  • Organize preparations for project-related meetings, launch of new and ongoing projects.
  • Assist with classified advertisement requests, via the phone, email and or walk in.
  • Answering incoming phone calls, emails and walk ins in a professional manner.
  • Ability to actively prospect for new accounts and develop business relationships.
  • Follow-up on all prospects, account leads, inquiries and assigned accounts in a timely fashion.
  • Represent the West Central Tribune in a positive and professional manner.
  • Work with all personal and outside contacts to satisfy clients and achieve company goals.
  • Ability to recognize new projects that will help local businesses increase market share and increase revenue.
  • Identify areas of improvement in special projects- assist in creating and implementing solutions.
  • Data entry.
  • Ability to come up with creative projects to help achieve company goals.
  • Perform other duties assigned

Job Requirements

  • Previous marketing experience preferred but not required.
  • Attention to detail and being accurate is essential.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once as well as be willing to work on new projects.
  • Strong phone, oral and written communication skills as well as an understanding of spreadsheets.
  • Strong computer skills and understanding of social media.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
  • High level of initiative.
  • Prompt and reliable attendance.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a driving record that is insurable by the company.
