Share Email Opening Title Program Manager  Description The Columbia Group (TCG), a technical services support company which has a successful 50+ year history of providing the United States Military with acquisition, logistics management, engineering, design, fabrication, test and evaluation, information technology and financial management support services is seeking a Program Manager for our PMS 515 contract. Overseen by Program Executive Office (PEO) for Unmanned and Small Combatants (USC) and located at the Washington Navy Yard, DC, PMS 515 designs, procures, and builds the Navy’s next multi-mission Small Surface Combatant delivering the capabilities needed to support a range of fleet operations in the most affordable manner possible. The small combatant ships will be a blue-water capable, multi-mission ship capable of operating in contested environments. It will have the ability to protect itself and potentially others with improved air defense capability, via the radar and weapons improvements, and shock-hardened systems for decreased vulnerability. The Columbia Group, Inc. (TCG) is fulfilling the Navy's need for configuration management and data management in support of PMS 515. The person in this position will be part of a ten-person team working in the TCG office in Maritime Plaza, across from the Washington Navy Yard, and will directly support PMS 515 customers in one of the most important and exciting programs in the Navy. This individual will: Lead a team of 10 personnel supporting PMS 515 in the Guided Missile Frigate (FFG(X)) Program with Database Management and Configuration Management. Assume responsibility for the overall program definition, organization, and direction of short and long range plans. This includes the responsibility for formulating, guiding, and directing the data management and configuration management approach; and defining and negotiation with activity and agency personnel for necessary resources. Establishment and control of technical milestones, schedules, budgets and costs are also essential tasks for the Program Manager.   Position Requirements Required Education, Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. 15 years’ professional experience in program/project management or data management or shipbuilding configuration management; and experience communicating with SES/Flag level personnel. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Candidate must hold an active SECRET clearance.   Desired Education, Skills and Experience: Master's degree in Engineering or Business Management discipline or related field. 20 years DoD/Navy program management or data management or configuration management; and experience with DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process).   The Columbia Group (TCG) is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
