Description

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Janitorial Supervisor, the Lead Janitorial Employment Coach is responsible for supporting individuals on community based contracts in completing janitorial duties as outlined in the established janitorial contracts. The Janitorial Coach supports individuals in maintaining continued successful employment and adhering to quality cleaning standards.

Position Responsibilities:

In a manner consistent with supporting The Arc NCR Mission Statement the Janitorial Employment Coach shall do the following:

Quality Supports

  • Guide and direct the facility cleaning responsibilities of community based contracts as outlined by a standard of best practices through job coaching and training
  • Support and direct individuals in maintaining professionalism and a continued work strong ethic
  • Assess and document the success and skills of individuals served to increase productivity
  • Monitor supported individuals interactions with peers and facility tenants to ensure proper exchange of information
  • Effectively address issues that can prevent implementation of individuals' goals and outcomes
  • Provide coordination that ensures Individual Plans and scheduled contract activities are successfully implemented on a daily basis
  • Transport individuals utilizing company vehicles to and from contract sites
  • Manage crew attendance and ensure individuals are safe and working indecently in locations throughout contract sites
  • Ensure information related to individuals supported is documented and tracked including but not limited to behavior support plans, individual plans, written coaching, and monthly evaluations and case notes
  • Attend and support individuals in individual plan meetings to establish goals that are transferrable to the workplace

Quality Team Members

  • Collaborate with janitorial peers and coworkers to assess team needs
  • Support team members in the event the group is short staffed or needs additional assistance
  • Gain and implement the skills and abilities of the job coaching function in several Employment environments
  • Ensure health and safety of individuals and staff at contract sites and during work-related activities.
  • Ability to work independently in completing contract duties while maintaining professionalism and time management skills
  • Ability to perform various janitorial and custodial tasks efficiently and effectively including but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, mopping sweeping and changing trashcan liners

Financial Excellence

  • Ability to follow and adhere to safety protocols including Safety Data Sheet requirements, proper chemical bottling and labeling and Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Manages and monitoring the daily timekeeping and attendance information for supported individuals
  • Ensure janitorial workers use proper cleaning products that adhere to green product standards and maintain environmental awareness
  • Conduct daily health and safety meetings to ensure individuals are aware and knowledgeable of required standards
  • Maintain and manage vehicle maintenance responsibilities including but not limited to mileage tracking, vehicle usage standards and speeding restrictions
  • Attend quality and best practices training to ensure skills and knowledge are current
  • Inspect and ensures all janitorial equipment is in good working order and free of safety defects
  • Ensure all required documentation including attendance and product management invoices is completed, communicated and stored in a timely and accurate manner.
