We are seeking an experienced Building/ Facilities Manager to oversee all building-related activities. You will be responsible for preserving the condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well functioning.The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. Leadership abilities and phenomenal efficiency can set you apart among our candidate pool. The goal is to ensure our business’s accommodation is problem-free and safe so that employees can work under the best conditions.

What you will do:

  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
  • Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
  • Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors
  • Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
  • Allocate office space according to needs
  • Handle insurance plans and service contracts
  • Demonstrate exemplary customer service skills
  • Oversee security of the building including locks, automated system, security service, and energy management system
  • Coordinate snow removal in parking lot(s) with contracted vendor, remove snow and ice from all sidewalks and door entries.
  • Maintain and repair heating and cooling systems
  • Must be available or on-call after hours, on weekends, and during inclement weather, unless previous arrangements have been made.Abide and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies
  • Participate on The Forum’s safety committee and take necessary action to follow up on committee decision

  • Responsible for the care and maintenance of the furniture, wall hangings, fixtures, carpet, and flooring
  • Repair heating/cooling system to maximize efficiency

Requirements for this position include an Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A boiler and refrigeration license is preferred. Additionally, you must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is insurable by the company, and a reliable vehicle covered with acceptable insurance.
