Electronic Security Systems powered by LaForce has an exciting new opening in our Security Integration Department as a Technical Customer Support Specialist. This position will provide first-line technical support to our customers for security, video surveillance, and electro-mechanical products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or Associate’s Degree with one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and understand architectural specifications, floor plans and wiring diagrams is helpful (ex: Revu Bluebeam)
  • Mechanical, low voltage and software aptitude and experience with electrified hardware, access control, video surveillance, alarm systems and intercom systems is a plus
  • Professional communication and customer service skills, with the ability and confidence to discuss technical troubleshooting steps to customers of varying skill levels
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate across all levels, both within and outside the organization
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with strong follow up skills

Major Responsibilities

  • Answer Help Desk phone calls and/or email requests from customers to help resolve issues with courteous and effective phone communication skills
  • Assist sales with quoting and pricing of security systems and electrified hardware, including assisting with entry and completion of sales orders
  • Assist outside sales with programming and customer training of security products
  • Assist field technicians via phone and remote computer support
  • Assist in preparing floor plans and wire diagrams for jobs sold
  • Maintain end user information, trouble tickets, maintenance agreements, and system records
  • Display or demonstrate products using samples and emphasize pertinent features
