Description

IB Insurance Agency is looking for a talented Account Manager for our Commercial Lines. This individual develops and maintains relationships with current customers. Services all insurance related products for existing customers, assists the Account Executives in soliciting new customers, and makes referrals when appropriate by performing the following duties. .

  • Meets the service needs of assigned commercial customers and assists with all commercial customers as needed.
  • Retains renewal business through regular customer contact and meeting coverage needs.
  • Manages account documentation (i.e.: renewals, proposals, agreement letters, reinsurance contracts, collateral agreements, policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, etc.).
  • Enters application/account information into EPIC and Zywave, including delivery specifications.
  • Provides risk reviews for customers and prospects.
  • Deciphers complex certificate requests.
  • Provides advice and direction for the commercial service team.
  • Completes all documentation required by carrier.
  • Collects insured’s signed application and deposit when necessary.
  • Maintains adequate coverage on all accounts.
  • Educates customers on payment and cancellation policies.
  • Generates new business by rounding out accounts.
  • Meets production goals with business that meets agency and carrier standards.
  • Represents IB Insurance by referring various financial and insurance products to customers and opportunities to co-workers.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • May be required to provide coverage in other office locations.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration ; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training.

Software Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have solid knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office; and the ability to become proficient in the use of the EPIC (or related) system.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Must possess a valid WI Agent License and be willing to obtain other states, if applicable.

Physical Requirements

  • Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
  • Occasional lift, carry, push, or pull of objects
