Summary
The R&D Technician will assist in the engineering team in the development and qualification of new products. A good understanding of archery will be required to build and test prototypes, as well as review new products to determine failure modes and market viability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Test and assemble new product prototypes
Provide support to Engineering in the form of documentation and prototype feedback.
Effectively communicate prototype failure points to Engineering
Evaluate manufacturing and assembly issues with new prototypes
Assist the engineering team in using testing equipment to determine design criteria
Analyze product performance using high-speed video
Generate comparative analysis of competitor products
Generate assembly SOP's based on prototypes
Document all testing and prototype results with a high level of detail
Other duties as assigned
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
Continue to grow lean knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
High school degree and a proficient knowledge of archery.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. CAD program knowledge is also preferred.
Ability to analyze and interpret Engineering prints and BOM's
Strong practical shop skills
