Share Email Opening Title 615 Security Guard First Responder  Location CLC Security   Description POSITION SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the safety and security of personnel, Guests, building facility, grounds and all other property belonging to Leech Lake Tribal Council and its' Guests. To assure Guests/Employees that there is certified Emergency Medical Care on site in event of emergency situations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for taking charge of all illnesses or injuries that may occur at the Casino and on the surrounding grounds. Provides care to the level of their training on all patients who need care and/or treatment. Must not go above their level of training. Abides by the laws of abandonment, must stay with your patient at all times. Must send a fellow guard to retrieve items if needed. Abides by the patient confidentiality laws. Familiarizes self with all of the equipment that is provided, EMS equipment, Trauma Kits, O2 Kits, Suction and Airways equipment to assure the location for readiness of use. Wears a 2-way radio for the entire duty shift. May not sleep while on duty. Must stay on duty until relief comes on duty and takes over. Must follow all of the procedures set forth for the First Responder position and general rules set by the Casino. Must follow all job responsibilities set forth for a security guard. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Is sensitive to Native American Culture. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Performs other duties as assigned.   Position Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Must maintain a presence and neat appearance on duty. Must hold a professional and moral character, with respect for others and their belongings. Must be 18 years of age or older Must have practical experience in the use and care of emergency medical equipment used by the Leech Lake Gaming Casino and successfully pass written and practical (hands on) examinations Must know safety and security measures to be able to take control of a scene/situation to assure the scene is safe, before anyone is allowed to enter the area of a possible hazard to try to provide care and treatment or rescue attempts. Must know and have an understanding of the laws concerning emergency care & treatment of the sick or injured. Must have good writing skills to maintain and complete necessary forms Must have the ability to maintain an efficient and accurate filing system for these forms Must be able to work 40 hours per week Must have ability to maintain confidentiality. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physically capable of remaining on feet for long periods of time. Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment. EDUCATION AND SKILLS Education Required: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Experience: Six Months to a year related experience Computer Skills: Must have computer skills Certificates & Licenses: Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing. Other Requirements Must be certified as a First Responder Must be able to refresh and keep First Responder certified status Must successfully complete and pass an accredited course, every two (2) years in order to keep license. Must abide by and follow the set S.O.P.’s (Standard Operating Procedures), that pertain to any and all pre-hospital emergency care & treatment that is in place and approved by the Medical Director for the Casino. Must have knowledge of Policies & Procedures for Casino.
