Job Summary:
Responsible for all ready-mix concrete sales activities related to target, development and retention customers and to facilitate company efforts to successfully take care of customers and resolve customer concerns to establish a solid relationship as a preferred material supplier of choice.
**Please note that this position is based in Kenmore, WA. We are currently looking for candidates who would like to relocate to the Washington region. Relocation assistance available.**

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships with decision-makers and those who influence their decision as to who supplies their concrete
• Develop and maintain a list of target and development customers and build strong relationships with them to meet new sales goals
• Meet or exceed new and retention sales volume goals
• Uncover and understand customer needs and set expectations correctly
• Assist customers and Quality Control in expediting required mix design submittals
• Project research and review concrete specifications to submit to QC for verification and approval prior to bidding projects
• Resolve customer issues fairly and in a timely manner
• Assist credit department with collections
• Follow, track and understand national and local economic trends and developments that impact the local ready mix market
• Involvement in trade associations, area chambers and state and local meetings


Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred

• Minimum 3 years sales experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Ability to build and maintain relationships
• Ability to multi-task and be a problem solver
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Efficient time-management skills; ability to meet deadlines
• Computer skills including but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Conditions of Employment:
Successful candidate must submit to post offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
