2020 Season Landscaper/Groundskeeper

Utah Recreation Company is seeking friendly and hard-working individuals and couples to be LANDSCAPERS/GROUNDSKEEPERS for our 2020 season! This is an exciting opportunity to work in the hospitality field while spending time outdoors and assisting campers.

We have opportunities for both individuals and couples! If you are applying to work as a couple, each person needs to complete a separate application with a unique email address.

All new hires will report to our Pleasant Grove office on their first day of work for an orientation meeting.

We will start interviewing for these positions in late 2019 and early 2020.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Classification: Seasonal

Location: Heber Ranger District Campgrounds in Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest

Site Provided for Position:Potentially

Wage: $10.35/hr

Schedule: Variable hours based on location needs

ABOUT YOU:

  • Own a well-maintained RV suitable to stay in for the season (picture submission required as part of interview process). Note: not all maintenance positions will offer a campsite.
  • Must possess a valid driver license with a clean 3-year history and no DUI convictions in the past 10 years (all new hires will be asked to provide a DMV printout)
  • Knowledge of operating and maintaining landscaping equipment
  • Experience in related position
  • Able to work in varying weather conditions
  • Reliable transportation
  • Minimum of high school education

JOB DUTIES:

  • Ensures park grounds in the vicinity of campgrounds are maintained to company and agency health and safety standards.
  • Responsible for maintenance of the lawns and public area additionally restrooms, showers
  • Follows approved maintenance and cleaning schedule
  • Trash pick-up throughout the entire recreation areas, roadsides, campgrounds. Maintains trash barrels – keep emptied at all times and all areas around trash are to be kept neat and clean
  • Maintains vehicle and ensure accurate maintenance records are kept for oil and filter changes, tune-ups, tire maintenance, etc.
  • Maintains fuel records (if applicable)
  • Maintains equipment by keeping in good running order and perform necessary repairs
  • Performs necessary repairs as needed and/or directed
