Sr. Application and Customer Support Specialist

Summary of Opportunity
We are looking to add a Senior Application and Customer Support Specialist to our team at Mediture/Cognify! The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in claims adjudication applications/systems and will work collaboratively with our implementation team. Familiarity and experience with SQL (Microsoft SQL Server), programming/implementation of projects using T-SQL is a must. Some travel will be required to customer sites and for trainings.

Open to telecommute, DOQ.

Your Focus (Day-to-Day Duties)

  • Coordinate internally with other team members
  • Communicate with customers, establishing expectations and gleaning requirements
  • Build out new customer and test environments
  • Test/validate new environments
  • Load/transform customer data
  • Work with customers to establish testing and go-live expectations
  • Train customers and internal staff regarding usage of our systems
  • Write documentation on how to use our systems
  • Create automation of mundane/repeated tasks, streamlining existing processes
  • Load new code sets
  • Upgrade components and update software
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications Skill Set

  • Working knowledge of claims management and adjudication systems with experience supporting front-end client software and backend database
  • Familiarity with claims pricing methods
  • Experience with SQL – specifically Microsoft SQL Server
  • Programming/implementing projects in existing databases and software products using T-SQL
  • Minimum of 3-5 years related experience
  • Degree in computer science field or equivalent related experience
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
  • Ability to problem solve, applying analytical, technical and aptitude skills
  • Ability to create strong relationships with end users
  • Ability to explain or demonstrate technology in a manner suited to the end users
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with strong thought leadership and motivation

Desirable Skills

  • Strong knowledge of financial and accounting concepts and workflows
  • Knowledge of health care payment cycle and claim forms
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid claim rules and regulation, pricing and payment
  • Familiarity with PACE, MLTC, or other capitated programs a plus

Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position with an expectation to work an average of 40 hours per week, and an ability to be available outside of normal business hours to meet customer expectations on an ad-hoc basis.

Normal business hours are between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Travel: Some – to customer sites and for trainings

Supervisory Responsibility: None.

Environment: This job operates in a professional, dress for your day, home or office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and filing cabinets.
