Job Purpose:
Under the guidance of the Purchasing Manager, the Buyer will perform all activities related to the procurement of Indirect Materials and Services in accordance with the policy and requirements set by Supply Chain Management.
As part of the global SCM team, this position will work closely with all functional groups in multiple countries/regions. The Buyer will be primarily responsible for sourcing of non-production goods and services including, but not limited to: Machinery Equipment & Tooling (MET), establishing contractual agreements, managing supplier performance and resolving all supplier issues in the assigned location(s).
Main duties and responsibilities:
Procure Indirect Materials and Services as assigned at the best level of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). At all times promote the Company values and standards when dealing with internal or external customers.
Execute comprehensive RFQ process and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best TCO and contractual terms
Negotiate (re-negotiate) agreements and purchase orders minimum 30 days prior to expiration
Perform the necessary purchase order maintenance and follow up
Manage relationships with suppliers, resolve supplier issues, monitor suppliers' performance in the areas of cost, service, quality and delivery
Identify and develop new suppliers when appropriate
Support general business activities and requirements of Functional groups, carry out other duties as assigned
Communicate and cooperate with the Supply Chain Management Organization as a whole

Knowledge of supply base in the field of procurement (R)
Effective interpersonal skills with emphasis on customer service (R)
Effective and consistent follow-up skills, demonstrated multi-tasking and project management abilities (R)
Demonstrated negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills (R)
Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint (R)
Experience with Plex a plus (P)
Fluent in Business English, both written and spoken, minimum 90% proficiency (R)
