Description

This position is responsible for receiving all retail inventory merchandise, physically and electronically, and organizing the storage of the products and delivery of them to the store floors. Duties will include: electronic entry of PO's, printing of retail tags, matching PO's to invoices, electronic receiving of PO's, returning merchandise to vendors, warehouse organization and conducting physical inventories.

  • Enter merchandise into inventory and sales systems. Provide daily maintenance to the Point of Sale system regarding price updates and price changes.
  • Print tags from purchase orders for incoming merchandise.
  • Assist in the organization and tracking of merchandise in storage.
  • Assist in the evaluation of on hand merchandise, preparation of reorders, and placement of reorders.
  • Assist in e-commerce tracking, reporting and fulfillment.
  • Assist in conducting physical inventories.
  • Maintain files relating to vendors.
  • Assist in the placing of orders with vendors, being sure that quality, quantity and timeliness of delivery requirements are met.
  • Work with the Resort Retail Buyer and other retail store managers to ensure timely receipt of merchandise ordered.
  • Assist with monitoring Crystal Mountain logo standards are being followed for logoed merchandise.
  • Gather information, check availability, order, and receive in-season Special Orders.
  • Assist in the buyer preparation for merchandise buying shows.
  • Perform the duties of cashier when needed.
  • Attend retail and accounting meetings as necessary to keep abreast of in-house activities, promotions and events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Competencies:

  • Three to five years general retail knowledge, with receiving experience a plus.
  • Experienced in receiving and merchandising retail products in a resort setting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer inventory/purchasing software, MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Strong math and data-entry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of organization skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.

Physical & Other Requirements:

  • The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, see, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • This position requires the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, walk, and talk.
  • Ability to lift and regularly move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Awareness of proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
  • Non-smoking candidates preferred.
