What are we looking for in a Therapist?

Therapists at Comprehensive utilize evidence-based practices to provide clients and their families with support in learning new skills and connecting to community resources. Counseling and skill development may be provided through individual or group sessions, depending on need. Therapist positions require excellent listening and communication skills, as well as a desire to collaborate to assist each client with reaching his or her recovery goals. Clinical supervision and training in evidence-based practices are provided as part of this position. This position is part of our youth outpatient team in Walla Walla, which serves children and adolescents, and has a regular Monday-Friday daytime work schedule.

Therapist duties may include:

  • providing individual and family therapy
  • facilitating behavioral health groups
  • completing mental health intakes and assessments
  • collaborating with each client to create an individualized treatment plan
  • assessing clients for safety and risk to self or others, and taking appropriate crisis intervention measures when indicated
  • assisting with case management as needed
  • thorough and timely completion of required clinical documentation
 
Position Requirements

Education/Experience: Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field.

Professional Credentials: Eligible for Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration. Must have or be working toward full licensure in Washington State.
