Schedule 29 hours or less per week, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 7:00 am-3:30 pm. Hours may vary based on operational need.  
Pay Rate $11.00-13.00/hr.  
Description

SUMMARY
Snow removal of contracted public and private properties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Snow removal and salt application.
• Related maintenance duties as assigned.

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed or as delegated.

Position Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma or equivalent education preferred.
• Maintenance experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES PREFERRED
• Ability to work independently and to complete daily activities according to work schedule.
• Ability to work with other departments on various projects
• Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time, and to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and public.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
• Valid Driver’s License required.

EQUIPMENT
Pickup truck, snow blower, backpack blower, snow shovels, 2-way radio, and miscellaneous hands tools.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near vehicular traffic and outdoors under various weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to cold, wet, and humid conditions.
