Hours may vary based on operational need.   Pay Rate $11.00-13.00/hr.   Description SUMMARY Snow removal of contracted public and private properties. Other duties may be assigned as reasonably expected. • Snow removal and salt application. • Related maintenance duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES PREFERRED • Ability to work independently and to complete daily activities according to work schedule. • Ability to work with other departments on various projects • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time, and to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely. • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions. • Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and public. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS • Valid Driver’s License required. EQUIPMENT Pickup truck, snow blower, backpack blower, snow shovels, 2-way radio, and miscellaneous hands tools. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near vehicular traffic and outdoors under various weather conditions.
