2M is seeking a Project Controller and Contracts Specialist to support 2M’s accounting and contract tasks. The candidate filling this position will provide accurate and data-based information on company’s revenue, profitability, operational efficiency, solvency, liquidity, and contracts in a rapidly growing, fast-paced environment. They will research and analyze financial information, create reports, develop and monitor project budgets, support invoicing and perform contracts management. Specific responsibilities include:
Successful candidates will have:
(1) accounting skills, including understanding of budget development and assumptions, revenue formulas, cost pools, chart of accounts creation, accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing/invoicing;
(2) an ability to analyze contracting terms and clauses and understand the requirements of different types of contracts (e.g., firm fixed price, cost plus fixed fee, time & materials), and
(3) knowledge of project management and financial metrics, including cost/schedule trade-offs and earned value management calculations.
Proficiency with MS Excel and high comfort level using computer technology is a must. Familiarity with ERP solutions like Deltek Costpoint and QuickBooks is highly desirable. Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment while understanding that urgency and accuracy are paramount to the success of financial analysis, accounting functions, and contracts administration. Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills and be fluent in English.
