About the Organization Hill Country Mental Health and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Centers is a unit of local government and a not-for-profit, 501C provider of Mental Health and Intellectual Developmental Disabilities, Substance Abuse, and Veteran Peer Services throughout the greater Texas Hill Country Region. Hill Country MHDD Centers is designated to be the Mental Health Authority by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and the Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority by the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) for a 19 County Service Area including: Bandera, Blanco, Comal, Edwards, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Kinney, Llano, Mason, Medina, Menard, Real, Schleicher, Sutton, Uvalde and Val Verde Counties. Job Title: Patient Assistance Program (PAP) Coordinator - Administrative Tech

Responsibilities

The Administrative Tech, PAP coordinator, isunder the direct supervision of the Business Manager. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, coordinating the prescription drug assistance program offered by pharmaceutical companies, non-profit agencies, or state governments. Incumbent assists with opening/closing consumers in US Script, completing consumer’s financial/demographic, follow up appointments with consumers, utilize medication tracking systems, create purchase orders and obtain authorizations. Back-up duties include but are not limited to data entry and reports, filing, physical coverage of the reception area, answering the main telephone, scheduling and confirming consumer appointments, consumer paperwork, timekeeping, data entry, taking and relaying messages, collection of payments, Incoming/Outgoing Correspondence, and Medicare Part D enrollment and prior authorizations.

Education and Work Experience

  • Two years of administrative experience in duties related to the position
  • Ability to write complex sentences using normal word order with present and past tense
  • Great organizational and verbal skills
  • Ability to respond timely to common inquires or complaints from consumers
  • Ability to effectively present information to supervisor and public.
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • One semester (15) hours) of college work may substitute for each six month of experience

Preferred Work Experience

  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) speaking

Certificates/Licenses:

  • Valid Texas Driver’s License

Physical Requirements:

  • Walk, talk, hear, use hands to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms
  • Able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with federal, state and local standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance

 
Position Requirements

High School Diploma or GED, plus (2) Two years of experience in duties related to the position.

(1) One semester (15) hours of college work may substitute for each six months of experience.
