Description

The Tax Payment Supervisor is responsible for planning and directing of operational and financial success of Trust Procurement and Real Estate Payments. The Supervisor will provide training and leadership to educate and motivate employees to take responsibility for their job duties and set expectations for completion of work.

Procurement of Tax Amounts

  • Ensure the timely procurement of tax amounts for Trust clients and for the exceptions not reported by LERETA Tax Service for mortgage client base.
  • Manage and track the procurement of tax amounts provided by LERETA Tax Service ensuing that the amounts are reported timely and prior to client reporting deadlines and team's shipping requirements.

Monitor Processing and Completion of Payment Processes

  • Delegate and monitor tax cycles, delegating work assignments to staff as required for successful tax cycles
  • Utilize available Open Items, Procurement, and Tape reports to manage tax cycles and ensure all payments are made prior to Economic Loss Dates
  • Maintain the Client Matrix to ensure that reporting falls within each client's guidelines and requirements.
  • Create and submit tape files to clients as required
  • Monitor tape file returns, addressing delays, and escalate concerns to management
  • Identify imminent loss situations, take action on the client's behalf and inform management of situations that provide undue risk the department

Internal and External Customer Service

  • Assist clients with questions or concerns and within their established service level requirements.
  • Utilize and work with internal and external departments to resolve issues and in order to complete assignments and responsibilities.
  • Maintain client relations by monitoring team performance towards SLAs, addressing client needs promptly, and by acting as an advocate for the client's customers.
  • Handle routine calls and correspondence with taxing authorities & clients to validate tax status

Miscellaneous

  • Perform basic clerical duties such as copying, scanning, and filing of property tax and other information
  • Learn and become proficient in all systems required to manage team, cycles, and staff.

This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.

 
Position Requirements
  • 3 years related experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
