Description

Phoenix Alternatives Inc. (PAI), one of the Twin Cities' leading providers of day services for developmentally disabled adults, seeks a strategic, creative, and detail-oriented manager to lead the Training and Program Development functions for our 100+ employee organization.

Reporting to PAI's Vice President of Operations at our White Bear Lake headquarters, you will play a critical role in fulfilling the organization's mission by leading employee development and training initiatives as well as the development of innovative, engaging person-centered programs that help participants design a life they love.

Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

Training

  • Serve as PAI's internal expert on Statute 245D requirements.
  • Manage employee development activities, utilizing and modifying externally-developed curriculum.
  • Schedule and deliver mandatory training.
  • Ensure all required records are properly maintained.
  • Develop and implement new employee onboarding activities.
  • Collaborate with directors, Human Resources and operations to
  • Proactively identify emerging service trends and applicable training topics
  • Develop and deliver engaging effective programs in response to emerging service trends.

Program Development

  • Benchmark programming to participant desires, industry competitors, and state and county requirements.
  • Collaborate with admissions, site directors, operations and community stakeholders to identify and explore development of new or expanded program areas, including for underserved populations.
  • Create, highlight and proliferate ‘PAI branded' services, with a focus on those that will leverage PAI capabilities and expertise, and will position PAI as a provider of choice.
  • Lead program improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement a repeatable process for implementing new and improved program options.
 
Position Requirements

Required Attributes and Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in social services or a related field.
  • At least five years of relevant day training and habilitation experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Statute 245D requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high sense of urgency.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Satisfy Department of Human Services background study requirements.
