Description

Dassault Falcon Jet, one of the most sought after brands in business aviation is seeking a Service Engineer in Avionics.

Summary of Duties

  • Provide systems specific support for all model Falcon aircraft to the command center, field service representatives, service centers, vendors, repair agents and/or customers in regards to Avionics systems and Cabin Entertainment systems troubleshooting, technical concerns and questions;
  • Deliver information to customers through letters, articles and presentations (seminars, customer meetings…);
  • Collaborate actively with coworkers and all customer service departments including Dassault Aviation;
  • Monitor system / component failures and usage to identify issues and substantiate corrective actions;
  • Provide feedback and make recommendations regarding product improvements to program management;
  • Provide on-site customer assistance as required;
  • Provide technical reports as necessary;
  • Support specific special projects, programs, or assignments as assigned by the manager of Systems and Completions Engineering Support.
  • Provide support to the Command Center, Field Service Representatives, Service Centers, Vendors, Repair Agents and/or Customers to resolve issues including but not limited to AOG support;
  • Provide on-site customer assistance as required;
  • Work with Dassault Aviation to support and develop solutions to technical issues;
  • Write letters to customers, reports, technical syntheses and executive summaries upon request;
  • Interact with W/H vendors and repair agents as necessary to support the Dassault Aviation teams as they move technical issues through the product support agenda process;
  • Act as a focal point for all DFJ departments providing input on technical issues related to systems support;
  • Attend and/or prepare regular meetings as necessary;
  • Review documentation for technical accuracy, spelling, grammar, and readability prior to customer release;
  • Develop and deliver presentations at customer meetings and company seminars;
  • Validate service bulletins and maintenance procedures with W/H customers and/or DAS facilities on behalf of Dassault Aviation;
  • Collaborate actively with coworkers within DFJ Engineering Support and Dassault Aviation;
  • Track, monitor, and report findings for special investigations of failed equipment in coordination with Dassault Aviation;
  • Support the DFJ model specialist as required for system based issues;
  • Support the DFJ STC team as necessary for technical concerns and questions;
  • Support the investigation of NFF and DOA parts.

Qualifications

Education

  • BS Degree with emphasis on aviation industry;
  • Equivalent education may be considered


Experience

  • Four years of experience in technical aspects of aircraft support or system design;
  • A&P Mechanic License or equivalent experience is recommended


Skills and abilities

  • Strong troubleshooting skills;
  • Multitasking and priority management skills;
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Ability to find solutions and/or alternatives/workaround in the best interest of the customers and company;
  • Must be fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Good presentation skills;
  • Interpersonal skills: must be a team player with a cooperative and helpful nature;
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in using Microsoft Office programs.
  • These are experiences not skills (no need to list them honestly, AP is listed above)
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations;
  • Knowledge of Avionics and Cabin Entertainment Systems;
  • Experience in system/component failure analysis and/or aircraft system maintainability and reliability analysis;
  • Typical climate controlled office environment including a cubicle (workstation), phone, and computer.
  • Domestic and international travel is required when necessary to accomplish the responsibilities of the job (approximately 5-10% travel).
