Summary/Objective:
The Inventory and Mailroom Associate is responsible for maintaining inventory of consumable goods for the manufacturing facility. The Inventory and Mailroom Associate is responsible for receiving and distributing incoming mail and packages as well as preparing outgoing mail and packages.
Essential Functions:
- Order and maintain inventory of consumable goods for the manufacturing facility (such as tape, gowns, detergents, etc.). Create and follow up on purchase orders as necessary.
- Deliver requested inventory to appropriate parties and/or designated areas.
- Complete weekly cycle counts for inventory in areas of responsibility.
- Track and record inventory requests and transfers.
- Ensure charges are allocated to the appropriate cost center.
- Assist with new requisition and supplier set up as needed.
- Receive, log, sort and distribute mail and packages (UPS, Fed-Ex, USPS, etc.).
- Collect, process and send outgoing mail utilizing postal procedures. Collect, process and send outgoing packages utilizing shipper's (UPS, Fed-Ex, USPS, etc.) procedures.
- Monitor postage meter and other operating supplies to ensure availability.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years' experience with inventory responsibility.
- 2 years' experience in a mailroom.
- Preferred Education and Experience:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
