Responsibilities The Clinical Data Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to the Quality department at Boston Children’s Health Physicians (BCHP). The Analyst will analyze data from various sources to improve measurements of quality improvement projects, insurance quality programs, population health management, and value-based payment programs. Responsibilities of the Analyst include, but are not limited to: Provide analytical support to the team responsible for clinical quality and practice transformation Provide support for activities related to quality measurement, population health management, value-based payment programs, pay-for-performance, predictive modeling, and managed care contracting requirements Develop dashboards to track progress and identify areas of improvement and accountability Graphically represent performance for a variety of measures and initiatives, providing to the necessary individuals in the timeframes requested Facilitate the collection, synthesis, and analysis of surveys when requested Review, understand, and monitor deadlines, requirements, and progress of BCHPs insurance company quality programs Receive reports from insurance companies, analyze results for services rendered and those available, and submit compliant members as supplemental data for analysis Develop a dashboard of priority quality measures for insurance quality programs Track documents that are both received and outstanding from the multiple BCHP practices Utilize insurance company reports to quantify performance ratings of quality programs, and present this information to BCHP leadership Qualifications Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements: Expertise in data mining Ability to present complex information in an understandable way Effective English communication skills, both written and oral. Strong analytical skills. Proficient in database tools and applications including, Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, and data analysis tools. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field STRONGLY PREFER Health care and/or health insurance experience. One to two (1-2) years’ experience using electronic medical records systems such as NextGen.
