Description

Full time (35 hrs/wk) Contract Position to January 2021

The Community Engagement Project Coordinator will be responsible for building upon the recent revitalization of YSSN's York Region on a Budget publication and support the development of the new online version of this valuable resource – the UpHub website.


The successful candidate will use their prior experience leading groups to engage community stakeholders, clients and staff around these exciting new resources. This work will result in gathering insights and feedback to inform improvements, and will also create a shared voice to help ensure individuals are connected with the supports they need.


They will also work with internal and external specialists to develop a formal report that identifies key next steps; including the formation of a marketing, communication and sustainability plan; as well as, providing outcome measurement strategies.

 
Position Requirements

  • Post secondary education
  • Previous community engagement and/or project management experience
  • Experience with collecting and analyzing data preferred
  • Knowledge of York Region's social service sector
  • Excellent interpersonal, public speaking and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Travel within York Region
  • The successful applicant will be required to provide a police clearance that meets agency standards
  • A valid G driver's license and regular use of a reliable vehicle
