NeighborWorks America: Working Together For Stronger Communities
Purpose of Division:
The Field Operations Division of NeighborWorks America is responsible for delivering services, grants, and technical assistance to approximately 250 NeighborWorks organizations with the overall objective of sustaining a network of excellence that creates opportunities for people to live in affordable homes, improve their lives and strengthen their communities. The Field Operations Division is overseen by the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Field Operations, who is responsible for establishing the priorities and procedures for service delivery, grant programs and the identification of new affiliates. The primary relationship with NeighborWorks organizations is provided through the field office staff-- including the Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs), Senior Director (SDs), Cross Regional Operations Manager (CROMs), Relationship Managers (RMs), Public Affairs & Communications Advisors (PACAs), and Regional Operations Coordinators (ROCs) -- in four regions across the country.
Based in the Western Region, the Regional Operations Coordinator assists with the regional office, grants administration, budget management, event coordination and planning, and reporting and monitoring of the business unit's activities for the region. The ROC will report to the Senior Director and work closely with the Cross Regional Operations Manager. While the Operations Managers oversee the larger picture and coordinate with the field budget and finance manager, the ROCs move the work forward by supporting or managing the day-to-day details toward completion of established goals. They provide effective communication and collaboration at multiple internal and external levels. The ROCs also serve as a direct contact to their respective region and provides effective customer service to NWOs, the general public, and other divisions of NeighborWorks America.
