Meridian is seeking an Application Developer with a security clearance for our Reston, Virginia location.

The Application Developer is part of the Meridian Professional Services organization responsible for delivery of the Meridian software to the Meridian customer base. The Application Developer must have the ability to become an expert on the Meridian product to support all aspects of deploying and/or extending the product through customizations. The Application Developer is involved in all aspects of the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The Application Developer needs to be able to support Federal clients through the ATO process, as they relate to the Meridian application and is installation. The Application Developer must have the ability to communicate ideas clearly, both verbal and written, to internal stakeholders, and technical resources. This position requires a consistently, deadline driven professional who can work independently and in dynamic development team environments.

 
Position Requirements
  • Solid understanding of architecture of web applications, integration architecture, object-oriented design and relational database design
  • Ability to develop database driven web-based applications using C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript AJAX, JSON, JQuery, LINQ
  • Experience creating and consuming web services (SOAP/WSDL, REST, Web API), WCF, XML/XSL/XSD, X/HTML
  • Experience with Microsoft TFS or other source control platform, Continuous Integration & Build Server
  • Experience in development role for federal and/or commercial clients
  • Experience with federal security policies related on applications that support the Federal Government.
  • Demonstrated ability to schedule, execute and perform server/IIS/database administration tasks
  • Demonstrated problem solving, analytic and troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal development teams and customer technical representatives
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and understand priorities; must be able to handle multiple projects of varying size and complexity at a time
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high quality products in a deadline-driven production environment
  • Self-starter with a proved track record of success. Solid team player with a positive attitude and a record of consistent follow through on commitments
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high quality products in a deadline-driven production environment
  • Experience with application development and delivery through the full software development lifecycle
  • Ability to understand functional requirements and translate into technical deign
  • Experience with managing multiple project tasks and delegating to other developers
  • Ability to wear multiple hats (Software Architect and Applications Developer)

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 3+ years of experience in a related application development role along with experience working for a systems integrator or software company with on project-based team(s)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and client relationship management skills
  • Ability to master our product and resolve client issues using a consultative approach
  • Excellent problem solving/critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to clearly and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups within and outside the company, especially through telephone conversation
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within a Federal/Fedramp environment, or environment under security compliance controls.
  • Experience in a Cloud Based computing (AWS/Azure/VMWare)
  • Experience in architecting/installing and supporting a High Performing/High Available enterprise applications
  • Experience in supporting a Cybersecurity Framework as it related to an enterprise application (NIST 800-53, DOD STIG, DHS 4300A, ARS 3.1, etc…)
  • Active security clearance

This job operates in an office setting which incurs moderate noise consistent with a business office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical attributes are required, for instance, manual dexterity/typing, read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation, the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as well as, ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
