The Tax Analyst will:

  • Assist with Pass-Through Entity multi-state income tax compliance and planning.
  • Perform Federal and State income tax research, as needed, to support compliance and planning.
  • Prepare sales/use tax compliance analyses and returns meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and remittance deadlines.
  • Liaise with third party sales tax service provider on rate administration, and system interface.
  • Perform research on sales-use tax compliance issues with current and evolving business activities.
  • Coordinate the integration of sales tax compliance with emerging e-commerce business component.
  • Assist with administration of jurisdiction tax audits.
  • Prepare various ancillary activity and transaction-based taxes meeting applicable reporting and payment deadlines.
  • Prepare personal property tax returns and related payments in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate, and execute, store licensing actions working with third-party service provider.
  • Administer jurisdictional notices and correspondence related to transactional tax compliance.
Position Requirements

PAWsome Tax Analyst candidates will have:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years sales-use tax, multi-state income tax, or similar compliance experience.
  • Experience with retail and wholesale sales, in a multiple jurisdiction environment a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, working with large volume data files; experience with ERP data interface functionality a plus.
  • Ability to meet multiple recurring deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate with, taxing jurisdictions, multi-disciplinary internal partners and remote store team members.
  • Detail oriented with a problem-solving mind-set.
  • Independent work aptitude with demonstrated planning and organization skills.
