The Inside Sales Manager has full accountability for managing the sales activities of the Inside Sales Team. This includes responsibility for the processes and systems related to the servicing of our customers. As a key leader in the business development value stream, directs the delivery administrative and operational assistance designed to promote revenue growth, productivity, and exceptional levels of customer satisfaction. Provides team members with the appropriate training, tools, direction and motivation that enable their success.


  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and grow the inside technical sales team and sales support team.
  • Drives the sales team to achieve all of the sales metrics - OPD, Bookings, Revenue, and Quotes
  • Drives the sales team to focus DAILY objectives toward keeping ahead of the Bookings and Revenue on monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
  • Supports the field sales channel with technical, sales, and service support.
  • Trains, leads, and motives the sales force to go above plan goals and personal goals
  • Analyzes sales data to formulate policy and assist all reps and distributors in going to market
  • Assist in product rationalization to ensure the right products (legacy and new) are promoted
  • Analyzes and controls sales budget for the Inside Team to conform to budgetary requirements
  • Manages the Dytran project tracking system to help drive the sales process
  • Manages product pricing, and costing to ensure profitability
  • Supports contract review and manages military programs from a sales responsibility perspective
  • Assist with new product requests for sales
  • Coordinates with Marketing to promote products as needed through local trade shows, advertising, press releases and email campaigns.
  • Creates monthly and quarterly sales reports for Inside Sales, and communicates results to the Director of Sales
  • Creates a sales forecast for the Inside Sales Team to use for planning and management
  • Reviews and improves the processes used by the inside sales team for entering orders
Position Requirements


  • Bachelors degree required, technical degree desirable
  • 5 years minimum experience successfully managing a sales team
  • Track record of superb sales management
  • Experience in the sensor industry a plus, especially the accelerometer market
  • Demonstrated sales leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and computer skills
  • Team focused, strategic, ethical, with excellent work ethic.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train and motivate sales personnel
  • Demonstrated ability to face difficult employee conflict issues and follow through with appropriate performance improvement plans
  • Must be a local candidate
